Where play becomes exploration, and every step meets the mountain’s rhythm

At the foothills of Mount Pangrango, the Playscape at Eiger Adventure Land embodies the spirit of outdoor exploration. Designed as part of Eiger’s vision to nurture curiosity and resilience, the playground invites children and families to engage with nature through movement, discovery, and adventure, where play becomes a journey of growth.

A shallow pool and water jets create sensory play for children and their families.

Carved from the slopes, shaped for discovery

The steep contours of the mountain presented both challenge and opportunity. The design needed to provide safe yet adventurous play, creating a landscape that moves with the terrain instead of against it. Balancing slope, safety, and sensory experience, each contour was reshaped into layers of exploration, where water, vegetation, and movement connect naturally. EAL Playscape designed to be a playground that sparks physical, emotional confidence, and creative curiosity, all within the rhythm of the mountain.

Run, crawl, and climb, a mountain zone where children play freely under close guidance.
Using natural slopes, climbing activities encourage children’s motor skills and spatial exploration.

Indoor and outdoor family moments unfold in the quiet agroforestry zone beside flowing water.

From meadow to mountain, each landscape invites a different kind of courage

The Playscape unfolds as a continuous journey through four landscapes — the Meadow, Mountain, Creek, and Agroforestry Zone — each offering distinct play and learning experiences. Children can climb, slide, splash, and explore within a setting that mirrors the mountain’s ecology. The design follows the land’s contour, turning steep slopes into play terraces and safe gathering decks. Water cycles through the site, connecting play zones with gentle sound and touch, teaching children how nature moves. Natural materials, textured surfaces, and native planting create an authentic mountain environment, soft underfoot, wild in spirit. Between the EAL Cultural Walk and the Cable Car Station, this playground becomes the destination of family exploration, where play and nature blend seamlessly, and young adventurers learn to find courage, balance, and wonder in every step.

A mountain climber invites courage, letting children explore heights under parents’ gentle watch.
