The design brief call for a new public space around historical Selamat Datang monument. The design strategy is to create an elevated park above the road roundabout so people can have new park in the most important CBD area as well as have direct view to the historical sculpture. The undulating platform provide pocket space for street performance or jogging trail. The new elevated platform also improve connectivity, become pedestrian connector to the five main toad. The landscape approach integrate the water feature which manage the storm water runoff that fall into the new elevated park. At night it become interactive waterfall features. From above people will see the lush greenery instead of grey structure.
